Plot[]

Jemaine and Bret get another audience-less gig from Murray. Even Mel can't make the gig. The one person watching the show - a 'big guy' taking up three seats because of his shopping bags - sneaks out seconds into the show.

Murray calls an emergency meeting of the band. He pulls up the high points and low points graph. The low point is playing a gig to no one. The high point was getting free parking because the meter was broken.

Murray confronts the band with their lack of 'coolness'. Murray determines that the band should wear hair gel in order gain style. Murray shows them snap shots of his experimental looks.

Brian, the New Zealand Prime Minister, comes to visit New York's New Zealand Town. He pops in to the band meeting to discuss the plans for New Zealand Town. 'Gary the Sheep' will be visiting for the opening of New Zealand Town. He is also looking for a 'cool' band for the event. Cue Fashion is Danger. Bret and Jemaine start experimenting styling gel in order to become 'cool'.

Bret and Jemaine get the gig for the opening of New Zealand Town because of their new hair styles. Brian introduces them to Paula, the second in command after him.

At the next band meeting, Murray determines that they need to infuse a bit of Maori culture into their performance. They are going to create a traditional Maori village and Jemaine, who has some Maori blood, will represent them.

Bret and Jemaine run out of hair gel before the performance. They use glue instead and end up with cushions and hands stuck to their heads. To make matters worse, 'Gary the Sheep' is sheered bald and is no longer available for the event.

Brian starts the trip to New Zealand Town by cracking a beer on the tour bus that he is personally driving. Paula cautions him that he cannot drink and drive. The bus stops to gawk at two Mexicans dressed as Maori. Three seconds later the bus stops and the tour is over.

The gig at the opening event is a disaster and no one shows. At the end of the episode, Murray tells the Prime Minister, "Forget it Brian. This is New Zealand Town". A reference to the end of the classic 1974 John Huston film, 'Chinatown'.
